We may collect personal and health information including your name, contact details, date of birth, Medicare and private health insurance details, medical history, medications, treatment information, clinical notes, photographs, billing information and information you provide when contacting or receiving care from us.

With your consent, WCPS may use Heidi Health, an AI-enabled transcription service, during consultations to record and transcribe the discussion. The transcript may contain personal and health information and may assist your treating practitioner with clinical documentation and preparation of your medical record. WCPS takes reasonable steps to ensure patient information processed through third-party services is handled securely and in accordance with applicable privacy requirements. You may choose not to have your consultation transcribed. Please speak with our staff if you would like further information about Heidi Health or how your information is handled.
Where necessary, we may share relevant information with healthcare providers involved in your care, hospitals, anaesthetists, pathology and imaging providers, insurers, government agencies and trusted service providers that assist us in operating the practice.
We only disclose information where authorised or required by law, or where appropriate consent has been provided.
Clinical photographs may be taken as part of your medical record and treatment. Separate consent will be obtained where photographs are to be used for marketing, education, publication or another secondary purpose, where required.
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal and health information from loss, misuse, unauthorised access or disclosure. Access to patient information is restricted to authorised personnel who require it for their role.
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you or ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
